The need to re connect

I think today worked out in a better way than I could have imagined! So it wasn't filled with roses and boxes of chocolates. But it was filled with laughter, cuddling, a little *fun*, and much needed talking. So basically it was all about us re-connecting. It feels like over the past few months that we kinda just got 'comfortable' in our lives and our routines. So today was all about re-connection, and love. It was wonderful! So hopefully this will be a step towards a better future and more love between us. I mean I have seriously been down in the dumps lately and it has just like been walking on egg shells around here. So this has to be the way up....

So how was your valentines day??? Roses, chocolates, dinner out without the kids??? Hopefully it went well for all of you!!!

Signing off,
Sabrae Carter

I'm glad you ended up having a nice day. You deserve it. :)

We didn't do anything special today. I took the girls to a birthday party and then took my older daughter shopping.

Tonight we are hanging out with my inlaws watching tv. LOL! WooHoo!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm so glad your Valentine's day was so nice! I was by myself today baking but that's ok. It was relaxing.

You'll have to read my blog to see how mine went. I'm glad that yours was nice and that you were able to reconnect.

I'm off to bathe a funky, stinky dog!!

We never celebrate holidays unless they relate to the children - they both got their boxes of chocolates.

I think all relationships need that "reconnect" point and they need it more often than once a year. I think one reason that the divorce rate is so high is that couples think marriages should be like what they see in movies, when really, it takes lots of work and compromise from both parties. The Evil Twin and I believe in a heartfelt kiss when he returns from work, no matter what mood we're in (it doesn't have to be any big deal, a light lip smooch can do). But, it makes us connected on a daily basis. :-)

Happy Valentines Day!! We had a quiet day at home....well, I guess as quiet as it could be with 3 little kids. Hubby and I celebrated the day before. I did get a nice card and a box of chocolates (which I have been munching on all day).

Well, I better get to bed. I am beat. You have a great night!

Yaaaay! I'm happy for you. :-)

I spent most of Valentine's Day with my mom, which actually worked out well. My guy was working. I have enough romance with him anyway. It was my mom who's newly separated and needed my loving attention, and she got it.

Glad your day was good. Yeah we all need time to reconnect. It's very easy for relationships to just grow apart especially when you've been together for a long time.

I got flowers...tulips delivered to my door. But the card just said "happy early president's day, muah!" and wasn't signed.

Now Im all frustrated and curious as to who sent it. ARGGH! I hate Vday!

But on the upside It's awesome your day turned out much better than you expected!
