I think you had a tough choice to make and did what was best for your child. In my book that makes you a great mom!! Plus you make sure that you would always get to be a part of his life. Smart move. When people found out that I lost custody of my 2 older children they automatically assumend I was a bad mother. I lost custody of them because I was in an accident and couldnot take care of them. By the time I was better courts decided that they should not be moved out of their father's house. I was a closed adoption, but it was the best thing for everyone involved at the time.
